Buried Treasure 3:15

Author's Note: This piece is based on the story 3:15 and what I did was I wrote what I thought the ending was going to be. I decided not to do a horror ending but it does have some scariness in it.

Cody Miller was just about to melt the gold when he saw a shadow right in the corner of his eye. Cody turns, but sees nothing nor no one. Once again he hears the voice of the old man saying "You better not take my gold treasure boy". Cody was starting to feel a little guilty about taking the old mans treasure but decided to do so anyway. He picks up the hook and he sees there is words on it spelling do what is right boy. Feeling a little creeped out Cody gets some water and washes his face, hoping that he is not going crazy because he does not believe in ghosts. Then he starts to think about how he would hate it if someone took his treasure when he passed. Cody looks at the golden ring, admiring it's beauty and decides that maybe he can keep the ring and give back the hook.

Thinking of a way to give back the hook he decides if he can find a family member of the old man he could give it to them and possibly get a reward. As he is walking into town he heard some fella's talking about the old man. "Can you believe that the guy with the golden hook finally died"? says a man. "Yeah, if I was young and crazy again I would probably steal it since he sadly has no family member to look after it and he was probably buried with it". Cody felt stupid that it was obvious that any man would rather have a family member look after it than the ground. Feeling doubtful Cody decides that maybe he should just sell the hook and go on with his life, then the voice trails off in his mind for what the old man said to him. He sees a shadow once again but it looks like an old man and is trying to gesture him to follow. Cody decides to not get the spirit angry and follow him. After about ten minutes Cody realizes that he is back where the old man was buried. The shadow then walks on top of the grave and disappears. Then Cody realizes that the ghost will not leave him alone unless he puts the hook back with it's rightful owner. An hour past and he dug all the way down back to the wooden coffin. He uses the back of the hammer to get the nails off and finally put the hook back on the old man. When he reburied the hook he started walking home when he sees the shadow but now its look exactly like the old man and he said "I knew you would do the right thing boy". He never again saw the spirit.

I choose this ending because I don't think that the old man is a bad guy so he didn't exactly haunt him. In the story the old man wasn't too much of a push over so I that is why I thought he was a nice guy. Of course I was wrong and in the real ending the old man Kills Cody so the he wasn't as nice of a guy as i thought.

Katniss Everdeen

Author’s Note: This short story is for my character analyzation piece. It is about how Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games changes throughout the book because she is doesn’t let anyone get personal with her and she just wants to do things on her own the way she does it, but then she starts to realize that is not true.

In the beginning of the story Katniss doesn’t want anyone to try and help her because she has always been the boss of her family, catching game and trading it to peacekeepers. The only one who she hunts with is Gale and they work together to try and feed their family. Other people want to help Katniss but she refuses to let them because she thinks that she can do everything on her own and not show that she is weak and needs help. Gale is pretty much the only person she talks to personally. This started when her father died in a mining accident and before that he took her out in the woods and taught her to hunt by using a bow and arrows, and taught her to make traps. Same thing happened to Gale’s father so he has to hunt to feed his family. After Katniss got chosen to be a tribute everything started to change.

Halfway into the story Katniss is starting to learn that everything she knew about growing up was a not what she thought, and what she thought was that she doesn’t need anybody’s help. When Katniss was training she still didn’t partner up with anyone or work with anyone but she started to realize that maybe some other tributes needed her help or that some tributes could be of some worth to work with as an ally in the arena. With the help of Haymitch her mentor, she realized that she needed sponsors to help her survive. During the games when she did stuff that Haymitch wanted her to do she got rewarded with gifts like food or medicine. For instance, Katniss did not want to partner up with Peeta but she had to do so that she would get presents to help her survive. There was one thing that Katniss didn’t like almost at all which was kissing Peeta so that people will root for their love and have a higher chance for their survival. Katniss realized by now that helping people and working with them is not such a bad thing. In the beginning she was very personal, and shy with strangers but now she is more comfortable with having to work with others that having people help her is not such a bad thing.

Thank you, Ma'am

Author's Note: In this short response I am writing about a how a boy changes from the beginning of the story to the end of the story.

In the beginning of the story Roger tried to steal an old woman's purse. This was probably because he listened to the song “Blue Suede Shoes” by Elvis Presley, or because he saw an ad about them, or he saw some other kids wearing them so he wanted them too. Since no one was home he had no money to try buy the shoes. Rogers only option was to try and steal someone purse or wallet for money and buy the shoes. He was probably waiting for an old woman or someone that wasn’t a threat and steal their purse. Roger then saw this old woman and tried to steal her purse but he underestimated her and she caught him.

Another part in the story was at the end when the old woman gave Roger ten dollars and told him to buy himself a pair of blue suede shoes. Roger wanted to thank her but she closed the door right behind her and he never saw her again. I think Roger wanted to thank her because the woman did not harm him and did not take him to jail as he expected. He wanted her to trust him since nobody else did. Also that the woman fed him and made him wash his face. Basically she treated him like he was her own son which made him feel bad that he treated her so poorly by trying to steal her purse. Roger wanted to say “Thank you, Ma’am” but didn’t have the chance but since she was so kind to him he will hopefully never try and steal a purse or anything from anyone again.

What Would I Tell America's Founding Fathers?

Author's Note: Few people might think that when the Declaration of Independence was written it was just a few men writing what they feel is right but no, it was in a room where a whole group of men where arguing and talking and deciding what to write to thing king but there where a few men that stood out.

The Founding fathers where John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, John Jay, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and George Washington. What would I tell America’s founding fathers? Would they ask what the country is like today? Not many people know who the founding fathers are or what they did to help this country. I think that everybody who lives in America and is an American should know about them.

Now each father had a big part in the in the U.S. Confederation, Thomas Jefferson who wrote the Declaration of Independance was serving as ambassador to France at the time of the convention. John Adams wrote “Defense of the Constitution of the Government of the United States of America.” The founding fathers were many different types of people like soldiers, diplomats, politicians, or any ordinary citizen. The most importants types where Signers and Framers. They all took part in winning American independence and creating the United States of America. If I could ask a question to the founding fathers I would ask if it was really true if regular ordinary citizens helped create and form America. I know it’s because of the citizens that there is still an America today but I mean was there people actually being able to maybe suggest to write something down on the Declaration of Independance like how did it exactly work?

Now the most important founding father was obviously George Washington the first president but what did he do for this country? George Washington was a Commander in Chief of the colonial forces in the American Revolution. Many soldiers gave up but George was determined to free America and fought on. After they had won the war against the British George washington was elected to be the first president of the United States of America. Washington served his country with honor, pride, and dignity. John Adams was known to be the next president. If I had to pick a favorite founding father it would be George Washington without a doubt. I’m sure most everybody would choose the same but he is like a role model to me like he is for the rest of the presidents. If I could talk to George Washington I would tell him that I want to be just like him, a leader who never gives up and always fights for what he loves and what is right.

I know I didn’t have much to say to the rest of the founding fathers so I’m going to say something as if I was truly talking to them. I would say thank you for all the love and support you put into our country and it is a true honor to meet my heroes. I’m not sure if the United States today is the United States you dreamed of but if it wasn’t for you we wouldn’t have such a great country. Free, safe, and well taken care of because of you. Thank you for everything.

Cause and Effect

Author's Note: This is The Hunger Games transformed in my cause and effect piece.

In the Hunger games at the end of the book Katniss a girl who volunteered to be a tribute for her sister pulled out some death berries when the gamemakers changed the rule for if there could be two victors. Katniss wanted to show them that they didn’t own them so when she pulled out the berries the government took it as an insult. After she did this Katniss was forced to love Peeta and be with him for the rest of their lives. The story would be a lot different if Katniss didn’t pull out those berries and took out Peeta and she could be free for the rest of her life or she could have let either the gamemakers kill her or Peeta but most likely not Peeta because he loves her.

Conflict and Resolution: The Hunger Games

Authors Note: For Conflict and Resolution I choose to do The Hunger Games and the conflict is that Peeta is in love with Katniss but Katniss doesn't love him back and how they resolved it is very complicated.

A story that I read last year was the book The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. A girl named Katniss Everdeen volunteered to be a tribute when her sister’s name was called. A boy named Peeta Mellark who has had a crush on Katniss forever got called to be the male tribute and will have to face death with her further on in the book. The biggest conflict is that during the games Peeta is forced to try to find and possibly kill Katniss while he is still madly in love with her. She then plays a game where she pretends to be in love with her but Peeta doesn’t know it. Katniss also feels some feelings for her friend Gale back in her district.

This conflict is resolved by their mentor Hamish who helps change the rule that only one victor can be crowned and changed it so that two victors can be crowned if they originate from the same district. Katniss then tries to find Peeta and when she does she starts to play a game where she pretends to be in love with him back so that they can get sponsors to help them survive. In the end he finds out that Katniss really doesn’t like him back and is a little upset with it but it still kills him inside. Really this conflict isn’t resolved in the end of this book but it is in the end of the series.

Woodside Ranch

Author’s Note: This piece will definitely be one of my favorite pieces. For those of you who loves horseback riding or camping, we are very much alike because I am going to write about my favorite almost considered a camping trip ever. Mostly my favorite events that I can remember.

All I can say is that it was like being given a million dollars when my mom told me she is going to take me to a place called Woodside Ranch. She told me that there is going to be all kinds of activities like archery, fishing, canoeing, and most importantly horseback riding! Anyway, Woodside Ranch is right next to Wisconsin Dells and is an awesome place for a little vacation.

Now I can’t wait but to write about horseback riding so I’m going to explain a little about my favorite part. The first thing is that they put you in a training area to see if you can ride a horse which was awesome because they said I was very good. One morning we had to take our horses out to breakfast which was awesome. One time when we where horseback riding my mom’s horse got spooked and almost made her fall of and that was hilarious. The best thing was that we got to ditch a lot of activities to go

During the weekend we where there we got to do a ton of awesome activities like archery, fishing, and canoeing. Fishing was one of the activities that I ditched. Archery wasn’t as exciting as canoeing because this one guy who was in a kayak and flipped over 3 times and my mom and I where racing against another little girl and her mom and we beat them so easily the little girl was screaming at her mom saying she is so slow and lazy. All I can say is that I will never forget this awesome vacation and I can’t wait to go again.

Duck Ride

Author's Note: This was the most disastrous experience that could have ever happened to me. Ever since then I have been slightly more afraid of storms and ducks at the same time.

I was at Wisconsin Dells when my sister Liz wanted to go on a duck ride so I went with her and when we got there it seemed like there was going to be a little rain storm but it didn’t look like much. While we were getting on the duck I noticed how cute the driver was even though all the duck drivers are. As we took our seat I saw that behind us there was a little girl who was asleep. I felt bad since this was an awesome experience. As though I thought.

Once we got to the part where we got into the water I noticed that the clouds where turning a very dark grey color and a few minutes later I looked at the water and it seemed little waves where forming from some very strong wind. The duck started to rock back and forth and that’s when the real storm was starting to come in. It didn’t take too long for it to start raining and lightning striking all around us. One strike of lightning was only about 10 yards away and almost made me jump out of my seat. Finally the driver informed us to pull down the plastic side sheet to keep from getting any more soaked but we unluckily had to hold onto the bottom so it would flop all around, sadly for the driver he was out from under the roof of the duck and was getting soaked. I felt really bad for him since he was most likely freezing in only his jacket. I thought the driver was wanting to get out of here as much as anyone else as he got us out of the water as quick as possible.

After all that was happening in just a few minutes I heard the people behind us laughing and was driving me insane until I took a quick peek and saw that the little girl was sleeping and realized that she wasn’t even aware that she was getting soaked upon and not hearing everybody screaming, that really amazed me. Finally I got back to reality and remembered the situation we were in and saw that we got to the part where we where deep in the woods and I saw trees leaning almost falling on top of us and leaves flying all over. I had no idea how the driver could tell where he was going since we could only see a foot away from us with leaves and rain all over. By this point I was soaked freezing and terrified all at once thinking we were going to die by a huge old broken branch or tree crashing us. I looked into my sisters face that was covered with horror all over and holding onto my arm looking like she was about to ball out crying and loose it. I got a little proud of myself since I was being the brave one here, probably the only brave one since I was the only person strong enough to hold the sheet down for everyone on my side and I was hoping for a “thank you” after all of this, that is if we make it out alive. Next thing I knew I saw something somehow fly into the duck and scrape my leg. I can’t remember why but I was worried that it was something that was going to kill me like a poison branch or something even though I didn’t get a good look at it. Then I looked down around my feet to find what it was and it was just a little acorn, a little acorn! I was amazed because that little thing made a pretty deep cut by me knee. I don’t remember why but I decided to keep it for the memory of this totally awesome adventure.

I was relieved when we finally got back and we everyone was still alive, terrified but still alive. I looked in my jacket pocket excited to find that the acorn was still there and hadn’t fell out of my pocket. When we got off I saw that little girl was still sleeping after everything that just happened. My sister seemed to be in heaven when we got in the store but she refused that she would let us both be soaking wet when we get in the car, she wanted to buy all new cloths in the store but she had no more money left and that’s when she made us both just sit in the store and wait to get a little dry. We were in there for about 15 minutes and the only thing that kept me from being extremely bored was that there was two teenagers walking next to the highway getting soaked in their swimsuits by getting splashed by a big wave of water when a car came by very fast. I have to say that was hilarious because they here not happy at all. Finally my sister came to her senses that we were not going to get dry anytime soon and we just left.

Believe it or not but I still have that acorn that scrapped my leg. My sister and I will never forget that trip. My fear of ducks are now long gone but now I always check the weather before we decide to go on a duck.

Favorite Place For A Vacation

Authors Note: I always wanted to go to a place with horses.so Texas seamed like the place for it.

Texas, the place that can have 10 tornadoes in the same day or week. This is one place that is pretty dangerous to go but I would think that there would be wild horses. That is the kind of vacation I want because I've been going to the Wisconsin Dells for all of my life but nowhere else. I want to stand on a high hill and see wild horses running, that was my dream sense the beginning. Please tell me if you know a good place to stay or if you know how to win the lottery. Each answer is good enough but I think the lottery one is best.

Having Two Big Sisters

Authors Note: For most people who have sisters they usually have interesting stories but mine is very weird.

Just to let you know my sisters are very nice for starters. I believe they are both 26 but I’m not sure because one of my sisters Jennifer lives with her boyfriend and her three daughters. My sister that lives with me is finally getting married July 29th to this great guy who is sadly in a wheelchair. At first I was thinking she was nuts but he really turned out to be a awesome future step brother. There’s not much I can tell you about Jennifer except that I haven't seen her for about three years now. Now I don’t have exactly a what you would say a whole sister because Liz the one who is getting married, well we have the same mom but not the same dad. Jennifer and I have the dad but not the same mom. It’s weird isn’t it, but soon I will have the house all to my mom and myself.

Flubber

Authors Note: Flubber seems like a cats or a dogs name to me. Well mostly cat.

Flubber would be the best name for a real big and chubby cat. Just imagine it. “Come here Flubber”. It would be hilarious to call your cat flubber. Maybe when one of my cats die I can get a new little kitty and call it Flubber. I think that it would have to be a black cat because I would think Flubber would fit better with something black and squishy, not something thats black and white or yellow.

Fench Toast

Authors Note: For this topic I chose to write about how I don't like or understand french toast.

Well where to start off. That's the tricky part finding out what to write about for french toast. For one thing I don’t think I like french toast even though I’ve never tasted it. Maybe one day I will go to France and go to the best restaurant that has the best french toast. Of course if the restaurant costs a ton of money then I’ll just have to settle in for what we have here. If any of you good people know a place not too far away or too expensive, please let me know as soon as possible because now I want some french toast or any toast really.

Dream Pet

My dream pet is like any other dream pet that most three to ten year-old girls would love to have which is a horse. I’ve always wanted a horse ever since I saw the movie “Black Beauty”. So if I could have a horse I would want a black Mustang that I broke myself. A lady told me that mustangs really bond with their owners.

High Heels

High Heels
One time I was a pair of high heels and I really disliked my owner who is a top secret spy and she used high heels for weapons. Even if my heel didn’t hit the target the force from my owner throwing me knocked the bad guys out. If I hit the head of course. It’s like a three year-old throwing me around or is trying to break my heel. It feels like I’m not important at all. When my owner isn’t throwing me around she is wearing me with unnatural non matching clothes which is disgusting.

All About Me

Why hello there, my name is Tara-Jane Hattie Vanderboom and  here is a little bit of information about myself. First thing that is really exciting is that I just got my ears pierced last Saturday morning and it didn’t hurt at all! My big sister Elizabeth is getting married July 29th and her fiance is a guy who is in a wheelchair which is sad but he is the nicest guy and I will finally have a brother. By the way I am the type of girl who LOVES video games. My absolute favorite is ME 1, 2, and 3. Please don’t think i’m weird or lazy just because I LOVE video games cuz I still love makeup and dress. Well, not exactly but still I do a little bit. Some pets I have are a bird Nemo, some unnamed fish, a dog Thunder, two cats Kitty and Boom. a turtle Max, and a garden snake kruser. Oh, and I used to have a dog, Keyna, who was the best dog ever. I will always miss her:(

Symbolism of The Black Stallion snd the Red Mare

This was composed by Tara-Jane V, Dylan SS, Rachel, R, Ethan H.
Leadership-
"There in the midst of the other horses was the great black stallion, the leader of the band."

Protector-
"At a full gallop he snaked around the wide circle, roughly bunching the mares and colts into the smaller circle of an invisible corral."

Gentleness-
"Off the wind from the herd, a red mare came out from the fold of the low hills opposite. She stood motionless a moment, her graceful head held high."

Loyalty-
"He stops and nickers. She nickers in reply and comes close to him, her nose touching his flank. They stand a moment."

Defeat-
"The stallion was conquered. Never again would he roam the plains, proud and free, the monarch of his herd."

Compassion-
"Tears blinded his eyes and from his throat cam the sound of a single sob. It was as if he himself were being broken and tied."

Parties and Potions

Even though we all know that witches don’t exist in the world some people like to pretend they do. In this book there is a whole other story with boy and girl witches. One interesting thing is that there is no boy witches, boys that have powers are called warlocks instead. So you see that there is a whole other twist with the witches and warlocks. “Parties and Potions” is completely a story that will pull you into real life with its realistic life capturing moments with romance and a ton of drama. I assure you that what I’m telling you is true.

The main character “Rachel” in this novel is going through a tough time with these two boys she really likes: Raf and Adam. Rachel was already dating Raf when she met Adam in Charm school. Adam thinks that she should tell Raf the truth about her being a witch. Rachel tried telling her dad but it wasn’t how she hoped it would and didn’t want to go through it again with Raf so she broke up with him, heartbroken.  Also with what happened with her dad, telling him the truth almost made him faint not wanting to see the girls for a while to take it all in. That really started to upset the girls mostly Miri; Rachel’s little sister. During that time for the next few paragraphs all Rachel wanted to do is lie in bed and cry herself to sleep. Reading the part about her breaking up with Raf and her crying almost made me cry and feel miserable, same with her seeing her dad and not being able to see or speak to him made me miss my dad. This is only the drama part of the spectacular story.

What I am about to tell you doesn’t happen in most stories. It is the story of young love. Rachel finally gets the guy of her dreams and believe it or not, she counts every single kiss they shared and got up to one hundred and thirty-two kisses, then at the end they did one more that made one last kiss that was number hundred and thirty-three. Those two really liked each other from the very beginning. They would go out to a pizza place with their friends and hang out at each other’s house watching movies. Rachel does start to like the new guy Adam but only as a friend, though he does start to like her and tries to kiss her but she refuses. I know I would do the same thing even though in the book she was flirting with him without even knowing it.

Because of all the different characters that are in the book. One time in the book Rachel finds out that there is something very strange about Raf, it is that he likes to yell at movies. Rachel invited him over for a movie night and he was just going on yelling at the actors saying “Get out of the way” or “Don’t go in the closet are you mad”. Whenever Rachel gets nervous she sometimes falls randomly by tripping on something right in the middle of a party. This mostly happened whenever she saw Adam and Miri would make a kissy face. I would always feel so embarrassed like it happened to me or someone I know.

It really breaks my heart to say this but this is the last book Sarah Mlynowski made and so goes the magic. I will always remember this with its humorous life breaking adventures and magic.

Drilling in Alaska

Author's Note: I think that drilling would be a waste of time. We need to find another resource.
Everyone has been wondering about if people should start drilling in Alaska. There are many good reasons and bad reasons for if we should drill in northern Alaska. For me, I think that we should not drill in Alaska because there would be too many things at stake, for instance, the environment.

Drilling for oil in Alaska is too risky with all of the wildlife there. If we were to start drilling it would require networks of roads and pipelines that would hurt the habitat, disturbing and displacing all wildlife. It would break my heart to see animals being moved from their natural homeland. Moving animals from their homeland isn’t the best idea because they will be surrounded by unknown resources and get real nervous. Another thing is all of the trees would just go to waste. Leaving wildlife forced to move on to another home. If the oil pipes where to break, the oil would spread everywhere. It would spread to the ocean killing the all of the ocean life there and killing all of the animals that get covered in oil.

Of course if we don’t drill for oil we will have to keep buying from other countries considering we only have three percent of the world’s oil. Yet we use about thirty percent of it. The gas prices will keep going up until most nobody can afford oil for their cars. So if we ever run out of oil or if we need it we could always have backup oil in Alaska. Let’s say that another country wants oil. I bet they would pay anything to get it so that way we all win.

The native people that live there might not be so happy about us drilling there. Though, some people might let us drill but they want money which makes no sense to me. I would never give up my land even for money. Those natives might regret it by not finding another home like the one they lost trading it for money.

We have had some ideas about how to start cars with solar panels and electricity. I hope that we will find an answer soon because I heard that in 30 years the Earth will run out of oil. I’m sure by then we will have something. It would be better if we just save it in case of an emergency.

Spells and Sleeping Bags

Authors note: Well Spells and Sleeping Bags is quite different than most other books with a hint of magic.
There has to be one reason that Sarah Mlynowski keeps making these fantastic series. My opinion is that Sarah likes writing books with magic. Sarah Mlynowski might want to right about what the prospective of a witch is. For instance bad witches and good witches are both in Spells and Sleeping Bags. Rachel and Miri find out at camp that they have a long lost cousin; Liana, a very bad witch who is out to make Rachel’s life miserable.

Liana is pretty much considered the wicked witch of the west. She is making everybody her slave by putting a spell on her water bottle and whoever drinks from it becomes her best friend. To me Liana is acting like a five year-old. This is so because she is trying to make Rachel’s life miserable only because she doesn’t like her. That is just the most childish thing I have ever heard of. Good thing that this is only in a book.

There really isn’t a page in this book that I don’t like. Each page has its own part of the book. For instance, on one page Liana is trying to be Rachel’s friend and the next page she is making everybody turn on Rachel. She had just about had it and is planning to get revenge. Readers can relate to this book from its realistic lifestyle. If anyone has a little or big sister who makes their life miserable just for their entertainment, they can really relate to this specific book.

Flying Brooms

Authors note: This Book is just the most spine-tingling book that I have ever read. No joke about it.

This book is just hilarious I love the author Sarah Mlynowski. I think she is a book genius. Well I guess by now you want to know how the story goes.

The story has its every day ups and downs, no literally, in the beginning of the book and at some other parts Rachel and her sister Miri fly on a magic broom. Rachel’s sister is a witch so things go very bad in most parts. Rachel is so very in love with this guy Raf so she makes Miri do a love spell on Raf but instead it got castes on his brother Will. So he asked her out to eat pizza. Rachel agreed to it and they became boyfriend and girlfriend. At the end she dumps him because she knows he doesn’t really like her. Also Rachel finally gets her witch powers and at the perfect time.

Sarah Mlynowski is a genius with her books. If you like funny books reader will enjoy the series of Bras and Broomsticks. With this bewitchingly funny series, you will love these books. Mainly because her books really pull you in with the realistic life styles from, crushes to stepmoms. There is one page that made me laugh my head off. It is where Rachel’s dad and stepmom want to have a baby so. Then little Prissy asked where babies come from and their dad almost told her but then Jennifer, the stepmom, stopped him and said that it came out of love. Right there I felt very embarrassed and not many books do that.

Rachel is my ultimate favorite character. Sure she is the main character but instead, I’m pulled by how good of a sister she is and how she is more mature than her mother. Rachel is the perfect role model for little sister Miri. Although in a way Miri is a good role model for Rachel also since Miri did become a witch a while before Rachel did.

Frogs and French Kisses

Authors note: I have no idea why I waited so long to read these awesome books.

This book is just the most spectacular most funny book I have ever read. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves books that actually take you into real life. Frogs and French Kisses have a real life story with the crushes and step moms and everything, with a hint of magic. Yup, I said magic because the main character Rachel’s sister and mother are magic witches. So Rachel’s life gets a little hard sometimes.
